GAIL Launches G-Tex To Strengthen India’s Polyester Industry
GAIL
(India) Limited launched G-Tex, its new brand for Purified Terephthalic Acid
(PTA), at a stakeholder event in Mumbai, presided over by Sanjay Kumar,
Director (Marketing). PTA, the key raw material for fibres, yarns, fabrics, and
PET, will now be supplied domestically from GAIL Mangalore Petrochemicals
Limited’s 1.25 MMTPA PTA facility, starting April 2026, reducing import
dependence. G-Tex delivers high process stability, uniform batch quality,
long-term supply security, and enhanced value chain resilience.
