Sangam (India) Limited is planning a capacity expansion of 32,832 spindles for manufacture of cotton yarn at its Spinning Unit II, in Bhilwara, Rajasthan. The total cost of the project will be Rs 137.25 crore, to be funded partly by term loans of Rs 102 crore and balance by internal accruals. The company reported total income of Rs 41,215 lakh in the quarter ended June 2021, compared to Rs 11,029 lakh in the June 2020 quarter. The company made a profit after tax of Rs 1322 lakh, compared to a net loss of Rs 3217 lakh previously during the same period. The Group has more than 200,000 spindles and 3000 rotors. Sangam India Ltd. is the largest producer of PV dyed yarn in Asia at a single location. It is also a forerunner in manufacturing ready to stitch fabric with the annual capacity to produce 30 million metres of fabric and 40 million metres of denim. Charting a steady growth path, Sangam Group has diversified into infrastructure, power, steel and recently the seamless garment industry. The Group has introduced seamless garment manufacturing facility with 36 seamless knitting machines that have the capacity to produce 3.6 million pieces per annum. The product range basically comprises of garments in various blends such as polyamide, spandex and polypropylene and also natural fibres such as bamboo, cotton and viscose. Sangam has installed the latest machines from SANTONI, Italy, FLAINOX SRL, RBE, INNOLAB, among others. Sangam has received compliance certifications from United Registrar of Systems Certification, Accordia Global Compliance Group, Health and Safety Management System, Intertek, Hohenstein Textile Testing Institute, Sedex Certification and Advanced Certification Ltd.
