KARL MAYER reported strong engagement at Techtextil 2026 in Frankfurt, highlighting rising global demand for advanced technical textiles across sectors. The event attracted visitors from key markets including Germany, the United Kingdom, Turkey and France, reflecting sustained international interest despite geopolitical uncertainties.

The company presented innovations in warp knitting technology spanning aerospace, defence, construction and performance apparel. Machines demonstrated capabilities in producing high performance materials such as satellite grade nets, protective textiles and engineered fabrics for infrastructure applications.

Industry discussions focused on automation, material efficiency and integration of sustainable fibres such as TENCEL lyocell. Technical textiles currently account for nearly 13% of global textile consumption and are projected to grow at over 5% CAGR, driven by demand in mobility, healthcare and industrial applications.
