Loro Piana has introduced “Royal Lightness,” a new ultra-fine yarn and fabric designed for spring layering. The innovation blends Mulberry silk with merino wool for yarn, and silk with cashmere for fabric, combining softness, strength and a lightweight feel. Developed in Italy, the materials require highly skilled artisans due to their delicate structure. The fabric uses fine organzino silk wrapped around cashmere, then hand-finished for a refined texture. The collection includes knitwear, polos, coats and skirts in classic and seasonal colours. The launch reinforces Loro Piana’s focus on premium natural fibres and advanced textile craftsmanship.
