AMI Launches ADVAIT 7.0 In Chennai To Boost India’s Global Apparel Footprint

Apparel Manufacturers of India opened ADVAIT 7.0 in Chennai, positioning the trade fair as a platform to strengthen India’s role in the global apparel value chain. The three-day event at RK Convention Centre brings manufacturers, retailers, and chain stores under one roof.

Industry estimates place India’s textile and apparel market at over US$ 165 billion, with exports crossing US$ 34 billion in 2024 and the government targeting US$ 100 billion in exports by 2030. Domestic apparel consumption is projected to grow at 8% CAGR, driven by urban demand and organised retail expansion.

ADVAIT has evolved into a sourcing hub for buyers from Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Mauritius, and Dubai. The fair spans nearly 1 lakh sq. ft and features brands from major manufacturing clusters such as Mumbai, Surat, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, and Indore. Organisers expect strong retail participation from Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets across southern India.
