At a recently concluded training program conducted by the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI), industry and trade observers stressed that Bangladesh will have to diversify its product range, including in the crucial textile sector and at the same time maintain high quality if it wants to rub shoulders with its trade partners as a developed country.
DCCI president, Abul Kasem Khan while addressing the inaugural session cited the example of China as a very big market and said, “The Chinese have diversity in their range of products they export worldwide. We in turn must resort to diversification of our exportable products to China.”
The DCCI was partnered by International Trade Centre (ITC) in conducting the two day training program on how to export to China through e-commerce.
Khan expressed the sentiment that small and medium entrepreneurs many of whom are operating in the textile sector and other sectors and are involved in e-commerce will benefit from this training course.
