Stovec To Showcase SPGPrints Equipment At India ITME, To Launch New Automatic Printing Machine

Stovec Industries Ltd plans to showcase SPGPrints’ digital inkjet and rotary screen printing technologies at booth A16 in Hall 5 of the Bombay Exhibition and Convention Centre, Mumbai, which is set to begin on December 3, it has been officially announced.

The Ahmedabad-based Stovec Industries Ltd is a subsidiary of the Netherlands-based SPGPrints which has supplied the Indian market for more than four decades.

According to a company release, Stovec Industries Ltd Managing Director Shailesh Wani said, “At India ITME 2016, we will launch the New ‘Pegasus EVO’ automatic printing machine, a successor to the popular Pegasus EVO from SPGPrints”.

Stovec will also present the Javelin scanning digital inkjet printer to the Indian market for the first time. The printer will operate throughout the show, giving visitors a real-time experience of its quality, flexibility, productivity and ease of use. Print samples will be available for evaluation.

The Pegasus EVO which will be displayed offers all functionalities required by quality conscious customers. Its newly designed screen head is simple, easy to handle and takes very less time to change from one repeat to another repeat. Different kinds of squeegee systems can be mounted, like blade or magnetic roller, depending on customer demands.

The machine is equipped with a servo-motor for each position to ensure register and material movement. Each printing position can be adjusted individually, ensuring the highest print quality, combined with output efficiency and minimum waste.

SPGPrints’ Javalin scanning digital inkjet printer is designed for companies printing up to two million metres of textiles annually. Javelin has proven popular with companies taking the first step towards digital textile printing, or need to supplement their existing capabilities.

The Javelin printer features SPGPrints’ unique Archer technology. With nozzles 4mm from the substrate, compared to the more usual 1.5mm nozzle-fabric distance, a wider range of substrates can be run, and the chance of print head damage is reduced. Using only six colours, Archer technology enables a gamut wider than the HD-gamut of other digital textile printing solutions. In addition, SPGPrints’ ‘Archer Print Head Program’, provides a two-and-a-half-year guarantee on the print heads in combination with the use of accredited inks.

The Javelin printer uses a scanning action with an array of Fujifilm Dimatix Samba print heads delivering variable drop sizes (2pL-10pL) at resolutions of up to 1200 x 1200dpi to cover the 1850mm width for sharp image reproduction.

Javelin complements SPGPrints’ Pike digital printer which is capable of printing up to 13 million metres per year. The Pike’s fixed-array printing bar comprises 43 print heads for single-pass printing in a width of 1850mm.

SPGPrints’ portfolio of Nebula inkjet inks for textile applications offer a broad colour gamut, optimised drying and excellent runnability with all digital printers using Kyocera print heads. Developed and manufactured by SPGPrints, the four ink chemistries in the Nebula range address the widest range of textile applications and fabrics.

Displayed at the expo will be the bestLEN, which is a state of the art laser engraver which enables effortless, repeatable quality in screen imaging. Equipped with special bestIMAGE software and automatic laser power calibration, bestLEN achieves unprecedented levels of repeatable quality and efficiency.

Also exhibited will be SPGPrints’ RandomScreen which supresses moiré effects in halftones, whose holes are arranged stochastically, eliminating undesired patterns in printed textiles. RandomScreen’s 125 mesh’s 79-micron hole-size contributes to paste savings, especially when printing pigment, the release stated.
