Fashion Technology Solutions Company Tukatech To Increase Market Share In India

USA-based Tukatech Inc, a leading company providing fashion technology solutions globally, plans to increase its market share in India’s apparel industry.

Presently, the company enjoys an 85% market in educational institutions and more than 60% of India’s apparel industry.

“Having served almost all high-end international and national brands, our focus is now to bring the technology to the small and medium apparel industry,” says Tukatech Inc Founder & CEO Ram Sareen.

Some of Tukatech’s notable clients are Guess, Jockey, Speedo, Calvin Klein, Forever New, Jones New York Lingerie, and MIT. In India, Tukatech products are used by Tarun Tahiliani, BIBA, Westside, Pantaloons, Reliance, Orient Craft, Arvind, Gokul Das, Raymond and Color Plus.

With its latest innovation — TUKA3D Enterprise Edition — to increase the efficiency in product development, thereby reducing the time and cost in developing new samples and enabling effective global communications and faster sample approvals through TUKA Cloud, the company aims to revolutionise the SME sector in apparel industry.

TUKA3D Enterprise Edition includes all the high-functioning 3D development capabilities for a virtual product development at a more attainable price. While TUKA Cloud is a web-based sample room for digital collaboration, this solution serves as a database of virtual samples, and is also a communications platform that enables product development to take place in a digital environment, reminiscent of the traditional design process.

“We know there are companies who want to adopt 3D technologies that just don’t have the capital. I’ve always believed that companies of all sizes should have the same access to advanced technology. We’ve seen the industry in California transformed by the affordability and availability of TUKAcad (for digital pattern-making, grading, and marker-making), 82% of the California apparel industry uses TUKA systems. We hope to see a similar phenomenon in India with the onset of a more economical edition of TUKA3D,” Sareen said.

‘Going virtual’ has allowed the apparel manufacturers to reduce their product development time considerably, and increase their first-sample acceptance rate.

“Today, there are many eCommerce retailers using TUKA3D for designing, developing, and uploading their realistic-looking digital assets. They do not require a photo shoot, inventory, or warehousing; the best part is - no markdowns. This is ‘demand manufacturing’. This is the best way to be profitable and be ahead of everyone else. We want our customers to be number one,” Sareen said.
